lovers. Current Volunteer Opportunities1. Armchair Activist Team: This group will provide support to CPAWS Northern Alberta's conservation campaigns by raising awareness with the general public and elected officials. Our armchair activist team will be responsible for letters to the editor and elected officials. This group will help with the planning and execution of election-time CPAWS campaigns. 2. Board of Directors: The CPAWS Northern Alberta Board of Directors is responsible for setting conservation objectives and priorities and overseeing the strategic direction and financial health of the Chapter. The board is responsible to the CPAWS Northern Alberta membership for the delivery of our mission. 3. Public Outreach Assistant: Assist in raising general public awareness of CPAWS and our mission, vision and values through community partnerships and events. Tasks include research and development for a CPAWS affinity card, development of sponsorships and partnerships with community businesses, registration and organization of display opportunities. 4. Volunteer Development Program Coordinator: Work with the Outreach Coordinator to plan and implement a schedule of volunteer development workshops to encourage specific skill development for CPAWS volunteers. Assist the Outreach Coordinator in developing a Volunteer Leaders program. 5. Display Assistants: Attend events with the CPAWS Northern Alberta display on an as-needed basis. Hand out information about CPAWS, speak with the general public about our mission, vision and values, answer questions about CPAWS and our campaigns, sell memberships and merchandise. 6. Fund Development Task Force Directors: The FTDF will be responsible for the fund development initiatives undertaken by CPAWS Northern Alberta in the coming years. Led by the Executive Director, the FDTF will lead a variety of successful campaigns to secure sustainable funding for CPAWS Northern Alberta. The FDTF will consist of ~10 Directorships, as well as supporting volunteers. Interested in a higher level of involvement? Perhaps you would like to join our volunteer Board of Directors. CPAWS Northern Alberta is looking for leaders who are up to the task of setting the direction of protecting Alberta's Boreal forest. The Board sets conservation objectives and priorities and the development of strategic policies, oversees of the chapter's financial health, and is responsible to the Northern Alberta Chapter membership for delivery of our mission. Currently we are looking for individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds
and skill sets, with special focus on education, fund development, and
